This six week programme is designed to take you from approximately RYA Day Skipper to a level of competence that will enable you to skipper a yacht on coastal passages and to gain the RYA / MCA Yachtmaster Coastal certificate of competence. The course includes training in general seamanship and skippering techniques, advanced navigation and pilotage, safety, boat handling, sea survival and first aid. Time is spent building real experience on extended cruises as well as pursuing RYA qualifications.
