If you enjoy new experiences or if you are looking for an adventure holiday in the sun then the RYA Competent Crew course is perfect for you. This practical course has been designed to take complete beginners and those with a little experience to a level at which they may enjoy and feel confident as crew on a cruising yacht. You’ll be kept busy on this course!

This course is for everyone who likes new adventure and an achievement for your next sailing holiday.

All RYA courses and exams are delivered in English.

This course is the essential starting point to learn sailing on a yacht. This practical course is ideal for complete beginners and those with some experience in either dinghy sailing or on small yachts. Also for those who already done some crewing but wish to learn it the right way.

At the end of the course you will have become a competent (and confident) member of the crew on a cruising yacht. You will be taught the fundamentals of crewing such as helming, sail handling, nautical terms and how to assist the recovery of a crew overboard. Experience how to "live" on board in all aspects.
